- Eat 7 or more servings of fruit and vegetables every day (2- fruit, 5- vegies)
- Eat wholegrain breads and cereals with a low GI
- Eat more pulses - beans, peas and lentils - and use nuts more frequently
- Eat more fish and seafoods
- Eat lean meats and low fat dairy foods
- Use high omega-3 and monosaturated oils such as olive oil and canola oil
